Top 10 TV Dramas Of The Decade
Gone are the days when you had to make the agonising choice between staying with your mates in a bar or heading home for 10pm to catch a key episode of your favourite TV drama. Thanks to box-set DVDs and digital downloads you can now devour entire seasons of the best shows on TV wherever and whenever you like. So the next time you have a weekend to spare dial yourself a Dominos, crack open a can or two and kick back and enjoy one of Room 101-102’s top 10 TV dramas of the decade.
Squeezing its way in at number 10 is Lost. The series kicks off with a bang as a jumbo jet crash lands on a remote desert island, throwing together a motley collection of passengers, a few crazies and the odd imposter. It quickly becomes apparent that all is not as it seems and for the most part we remain as confused as the cast about what exactly is going on. It raises more questions than answers and the minute you think you’re finally getting a handle on things another curve ball is thrown your way. But therein lies the charm of Lost – in the early seasons at least. It would rank higher but for the fact that it loses its way in seasons four and five as the suits try to eke out a storyline too many. Don’t lose interest, this needs to be watched to the end.
